2014 CPAC Professionals Day & Job Fair

2014 CPAC Professionals Day, one of the largest career development events for internationally trained professionals (ITPs) in the GTA, which will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Sheraton Parkway Toronto North.

CPAC Professionals Day is an annual event focusing on professional development and career advancement for internationally trained professionals (ITPs). The event consists of an empowering keynote presentation, educational breakout workshops and a marketplace/job fair. Over 1,500 internationally trained professionals are expected to attend Professionals Day 2014. The highlights of this year's event are:

• Featuring Keynote Speaker: Mr. Royson Ng, President of Samteck

Mr. Ng will share with the audience his story of success. Born and raised in Malaysia, he came to Canada in 1991 and started his career with various entry level jobs before joining Samtrack. Under his leadership, the company has grown to be a leading distributor of personal computers, consumer electronics, dry food and health & beauty products and have such big name mass merchant clients as Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Office Depot, Staples and Wal-Mart. Mr. Ng attributes the success of the company to its employees, most of whom are immigrants.

旨在帮助海外背景的专业人士（ITPs）在职业以及专业上得以发展的专业盛会，第十三届CPAC‘专业人士日’将于5月31日（周六）在Sheraton Parkway Toronto North举行。历经十三年的沉淀，‘CPAC 专业人士日’已成为整个大多地区在帮助ITPs 职业以及就业发展方面最大规模的活动之一。今年参展的近50家招聘企业、十场培训讲座以及舒适宽敞的活动展厅预计能让参会者有更多的收获，加速他们的职业发展、迈向成功。

今年大会邀请了加拿大Samtack公司总裁吴庆华(Royson Ng)先生担任主讲嘉宾，与大家分享他职场发展的成功经验。吴先生在马来西亚出生长大，1991年移民来加拿大。在加入Samtack公司以前也是经历了很多入门级工作岗位的磨练。如今，在他的领导下, Samtack公司已成长为一家领先的个人电脑、电器、食品、健康与美容产品的经销商，分支机构遍布美国、加拿大、英国、中国大陆和台湾，买家包括Best Buy、Canadian Tire、Office Depot、Staples 和Wal-Mart。吴庆华先生的成功故事荣登加拿大移民杂志，激励了数以万计的新移民。06年以来，吴庆华活跃在各大移民论坛，中小型企业指导机构，是拥有企业家精神的杰出代表，而吴先生却将其公司的成功归功于他的员工,其中大部分是移民。

本届CPAC“专业人士日”还将有近50个雇主和培训服务机构参加招聘会，这些职位来自政府、金融、会计、客户服务及工商界等。十场职业培训讲座主题涉及热门职业、找工技巧、获得专业证书及认证、晋升攻略等不同方面，同时还增加了很多新的、实用性强的主题以满足具有不同背景的移民专业人士的各种需求,比如‘青年专业人士的职业选择’，料将会受年轻人和应届毕业生的欢迎。其他在往届CPAC专业人士日上座率高的讲座如‘如何在政府机构谋职’、‘成功面试技巧’等会继续开讲。与往年一样，演讲嘉宾来自于不同的行业，包括政府部门、教育机构、培训和职业发展机构、社区机构，雇主和赞助商。
